When should a child first see a dentist?

What happens at the first visit?
We count teeth, check gums, look for early decay, talk about bottles at night, and show how to brush. Most first visits are 20–30 minutes. No drill unless there is an obvious problem.
Will my child need treatment?

Do you treat anxious children?
