A checkup every six months finds decay and gum disease before they hurt. Dr. Alok Bhardwaj examines patients at three Jaipur clinics. If a tooth cannot be saved, the next conversation is implants, not a surprise extraction on the day.

How often should I visit?

Six months is the default. Three months if you have periodontitis, poorly controlled diabetes, or heavy smoking. Patient information lists what to bring.

What is included?

Medical history, extra-oral and intra-oral exam, gum measurements, oral cancer screen of the soft tissues, and bitewing or OPG X-rays when the last films are old or symptoms changed. Cleaning is separate if tartar is present.

Can I skip if nothing hurts?

Pain is a late sign. Enamel can hide decay between teeth. Gum bone loss is often silent. That is the point of the calendar, not a sales cycle.

Checkups after implants or Invisalign

Implants still get gum disease. Aligners still need hygiene visits. See Invisalign in Jaipur if you are mid-treatment.
